Spiritual environments and experiences in Christ that bring recovery to the hearts, minds, and souls of those struggling with substance abuse, and healing to their marriages and families.
GameChangers is a faith-based residential ministry located on 150 acres near Lake Thurmond where we help men overcome substance abuse through Christ-centered recovery, offering spiritual healing, structure, accountability, and a supportive brotherhood.
Our 90-day program helps residents break free from addiction by combining the 12 Steps with Scripture to heal emotionally, spiritually, and mentally, laying a foundation for lifelong recovery.
Phase 2 helps residents build real-world stability by applying recovery principles to daily life, fostering responsibility, purpose, and long-term growth beyond sobriety.
Phase 3 bridges structured recovery and independent living, where men deepen their AA practice, embrace accountability, and grow into spiritually grounded leaders in recovery.
GameChangers was founded by William H. Dalzell III, who lives in North Augusta, South Carolina, with his wife and four children. Will owns multiple successful CSRA businesses and provides leadership in the community through his generosity and service.
Will’s heart for GameChangers is rooted in his own recovery from drugs in alcohol, from which he has been free since 2007. Will feels called to serve his brothers who are in search of a similar life-altering recovery rooted in faith.
Will envisioned a wooded refuge where men struggling with addiction can come together to receive counseling, and heal within an uplifting and tranquil environment and learn a trade.
The GameChangers property was secured in 2019 along with 501c3 non-profit status. In 2020 we accepted and graduated our inaugural group of men, some of which are now serving as part of our staff for future groups.
Christ is Lord over all. We praise, honor, and glorify him in our recovery, and use His word as a guide for our daily lives.
To be and show the love people need when life has tried to show them otherwise and they doubt love is still the way.
This change comes from seeking the Lord with honesty, open-mindedness, and a willingness for daily recovery.
The strength to get back up when people, situations or ideas try to knock us down. This is essential for lasting change.
We need your help you continue helping men and their families recover from substance abuse with Christ-centered healing. Your contribution changes the game for someone in need.
Have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind”
